About Marissa

I believe therapy should be a space where you can take a deep breath, let your guard down, and show up exactly as you are. Life can be complicated, relationships can be messy, and sometimes we all need a little extra support navigating it all.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. I work with adults ages 18 and older, supporting individuals navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, and difficult life transitions. My experience includes working with individuals impacted by domestic violence and other difficult experiences that can shape how we see ourselves and connect with others.

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Together, we can explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, work through difficult experiences, and develop practical ways to navigate life’s challenges. I value authenticity, compassion, and creating a space where there’s room for both meaningful conversations and the occasional laugh.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, working through the past, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, you don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

“Life can be complicated, and you don't have to have it all figured out before coming to therapy. I believe in creating a space where you can let your guard down, have honest conversations, and feel comfortable being yourself. Sometimes that means working through the hard stuff, and sometimes there's room for a little laughter along the way.”
