About Ghida
Being human is hard. Many of us move through the world carrying anxiety, shame, trauma, or the quiet belief that something about us needs fixing. We might have thoughts of being “too much” and/or “not enough.” In my work as a therapist, I don’t see people as broken. I see people whose minds and bodies learned to adapt, survive, and protect them through difficult experiences.
Therapy with me focuses on gently understanding those protective patterns rather than fighting against them. Together, we explore how your experiences have impacted you. We will reflect about the different parts of you that learned to keep you safe, while bringing curiosity, compassion, and regulation to the parts that have been carrying so much for so long. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you reconnect with your worth, soothe the parts of you that have been working overtime, and build a more grounded relationship with yourself.
My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and rooted in anti-oppressive care. I integrate somatic work with therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe healing happens when people feel deeply seen, understood, and supported, not when they feel pathologized.
As a first-generation Lebanese immigrant, I understand the complexity of navigating multiple identities, cultures, and expectations. I strive to create a space where clients can show up fully as they are, without needing to perform, explain, or shrink themselves. My work is grounded in cultural humility and an understanding that our experiences are shaped by many intersecting identities and systems.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and move toward a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and authentic.
Some of the areas we may explore together include:
Trauma and complex trauma
Anxiety
Identity and cultural stress
People-pleasing and boundary setting
Relationship and interpersonal challenges
Self-worth and inner child healing
Life transitions
And more…
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, self-understanding, and growth.
